Social Security After the Next Election

It seems that everyone is starting a blog these days.  So I will too. I have practiced law in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania for over thirty years and have never seen the political climate so hostile to disabled people and the poor.  I worry every day about what will become of the Social Security programs if the Republicans sweep the elections, capturing the White House and the Senate, in addition to the House.  Will they abolish the SSI program and offer a voucher in place of Medicare?  Will Wall Street manage Social Security accounts, collecting huge commissions and sending their profits to foreign accounts and outsourcing more jobs like Mitt Romney?  What do you think?

I think about these issues, and worry what could happen if republicants take over. I look forward to reading more of these posts, and hope lots of other people read them, too.
